Help im brickin it?!?!? :(

Help me, iv owned my ph2 172 for about 2 months now and loving it, i dont hammer my car and i do apperitiate it, but recently iv been experiencing flat spots while straight on the throttle, it does it mainly in second and funny enough fith! I was told timing could be out, but my belt was done 4,500 miles ago, somebody else told me that my induction kit may be sucking in to much warm air due to lack of sufficiant ducting for cold air intake. Any advice would be greatly apperitiated.

Also does not happen all the time, it's intermittent!

do the easy stuff first

get rid of the induction kit

warm air does create flat spots

I dont really want the induction kit tbh, but i cant source a standard air box, otherwise id opt for a pannel filter!! Although i have been told the kit was £200 when new?!! But as soon as i can il try it mate! Cheers.

Once you've got that .. look out for a 2nd hand ITG/other branded filter unless you want to buy new See how you get on with the standard one anyway...

PS: you say you don't "hammer" your car .. if you drive it like Miss Daisy, it'll never loosen up. They love being revved (WHEN WARM!!!). Mine did 900 miles in 6 months before I bought it .. it's much better now ! They also need certain criteria before the carbon canister will release too..

Give it some beans for goodness sake.. it's what it's meant for !

Dont get me wrong, i dont drive like a old woman, lol i just drive sensible, once im on back roads etc i do give it some!! And it loves it!! As i do! If i wanted to poodle about id of bought a fiat uno (non turbo), lmao hahaha:rasp:. But thanks for the advice mate, i hear ya!!!!
