help my clio failed the mot :-(

It failed on the driver side rear spring, broken spring. Is best to replace both springs or can i do just the broken one? Also anyone know where i can get oem springs that are stocked? my local renault dealer said i have to order it. i need it done today ideally.

Anyone know the part number for the rear springs i cant find them only for the cup springs.

i dont mind tbh as long as i can get them today and the price isn't hugely different and is not a cheap pattern part.

5 minutes checking the car before hand would have revealled a broken rear spring!!

go to a breakers, all the mk2 (sport/non-sport) rear springs are the same fit, (im unsure if the poundage is much different)
itll get you through the MOT and you can sort out getting the correct springs at a later date!!

i booked my mot, then changed my rear discs and pads and thats when i knew my spring had snapped but was too late to re-book mot, so i chanced it but didnt pay off. im going to try camberley auto factors and gsf.

Got some springs from Camberley auto factors. Apparently clio 172 springs are the same as the other models only the cup is different? This sound right.
