Help Needed, Sheared bolt

  Sport 172
Afternoon all,

This has probably been covered but basically I am in the process of changing my front discs on my 172. Now when I went to put the disc back on I tightend up one of them two torx bolts that hold it on the head sheared off.

Now I have read that drilling them out work. So I have drilled a hole through the bolt and kept going up drill bits. What happened is that I am up to the drillbitthat is more or less the size of the hole. A little smaller but there is still some old bolt left in there around the edge. How can I get this out?

thanks

The vibration should shake it loose & spin it out before you get to big.

Try tapping the edge with a drift to loosen it.

Got it sorted. the next one up was the size of the hole and I was worried that if I drill through with one the size of the hole it might get rid of the thread completely that I need to screw a bolt it.

Got it sorted, used a punch to tap the bottom of it and it flew out the other side.

Phew
