Help needed, Stereo wiring!!

  Clio Dynamique+ 1.4
Hey guys, so I'm gonna wack my old JVC in the Clio as the OEM stereo hates CD's and spits them back out! Also I'm too broke atm to buy the Alpine HU I been eyeing up!

Now this is an old stereo that was removed from my 1st car by Uplands in Bristol (with work like this is it any wonder they've shut down!). It was amped up, but they've just cut the wires above and below where it was soldered (only 1 RCA output so had to hard wire one) and this has left me with a massive gap. Now obviously I need to solder the wires on the left of the photo back together as there's the massive gap an bending the loom isn't something I want to do, but is it going to be safe if I use new wire to extend the wires so they fit, and if so, what wiring is safe to use? I wouldn't ask normally, but so many clios on here seem to be on fire these days, I don't wanna risk it haha! Cheers for any help guys.

Any speaker wire will do mate. Just make sure the connection are done well and insulated.

Failing that you could just buy a replacement JVC wiring Harness off Ebay/Halfords etc.
You can see the connector next to the little blue 15amp fuse, just push the clip down and pull it out.
(I'm guessing you know how to do this already lol)
