HELP needed with engine stamp

Hello all

i need a new engine for my renault clio

i need to know where to find the negine stamp or if someone could tell me what the engine stamp is if they know.

its a Y reg 2001 clio

also if you could tell me up to which age that stamp is the same so i wouldnt have to do a conversion that would be fantastic!

please help! i have been without my car for too long now!!!

It tends to be located on the edge rim between engine & gearbox (on the engine side though). It will be a chromey type plate with the engine code stamped on it.
