Thnaks folks. Its priced at £8,350 but i explained i had been offered a Racing blue in southampton for 7,500 with both packs and 24k miles. It also states its Racing blue... Is it ? Or is it just a poor camera?

thanks again

Have you been to see it at all ? If it's worth buying try & get the price down on it a bit (as I said it's a good price, but you can always squeeze a bit more out of dealers)

Na i havent been to view it yet. Its the closest 182 i have found to were i stay. Have emailed the guy back to find out about colour etc..

If i can get it down to £7k itsa winner. Justa bit sceptic about that it states it Racing Blue. It looks a cross between RB and Arctic Blue. Any thoughts??

Its just the pics mate - its Artic Blue.

As for them missdescribing the colour - easy mistake to make

It's deffo arctic as RB is totally flat.

Forget trying to deal over the phone etc, pitch up & if you want it go from there, it also shows that your pretty interested if you rock up to see it.

Yea understand that mate. See how its only got a month or 2 left under renault warranty, will they change the timing belt etc if i ask them to? I've read on here that its due aroudn the 40 k mark. Is that right?? Anything else i should look to cover in waranty etc? Dont want to buy a car things run out and fork out alot on it when i could of got things sorted.

thanks

They wont change the belt under warranty surely?

The aux belt is due 3yr/36k service
Cambelt 5yr/72k

cambelt is servicing and therefore isnt done under warranty. Its due 72k or 5 years whcihever comes first. most people do it sooner than 72k though.

Rite thanks. How much do they bost cost roughly? It only has 1 month Tax left so thats another 200 on top of what im paying. Just want to work out the costs in the not to distant future. Any other niggles to expect on a car with those miles/age?

cheers

I think you will be looking at around £300 for the 36k service at an independent specialist - more from a Renault main dealer.

Be careful though, as i was quoted £200 for a 36k service from Renault dealer but they didnt realise that aux belt needed changing, they were only going to change filters/oil.

Yea il look to try and use the tax against him. You get 3 month warrnty from the dealer inc. Sorry to sound stupid am not in to all the jist. But what exactly will he cover with that? Mite try and get a years warranty if he wont budge on the price.

Presuming i buy it and it needs the 36k serivce straight away that could help in my favour as well?

The aux belt & 36k service should have been done, if not done already it's due now. If it's not serviced to the service schedlue, the manufacturers warranty will be void (I think)
