Help on lowering 1.2 Clio mk2

  Clio 1.2 16v
Looking to lower my clio but cat decide what mm springs to get until I can afford coilovers. I don't want to go mega lower until I get a decent set of wheels.. If anyone can help be much appreciated :)

Not at all, no.

If you're going to keep standard shocks, you wont want to go much lower than standard anyway.

60mm will give you grief, from what I've read on here, 40mm will be alright but you're going to be putting a lot more load on your already aged dampers.

The alternative (although this isn't very popular, seemingly), would be to not bother at all

Had 60mm springs on my old car for a while before getting coilovers and they were fine, never had any issues with them! suppose it depends what condition your dampers are in to begin with though!

If your buying springs to go low, you'd be as well buying a cheap set of coilovers, something like Rokkor or Raceland.
