Help Please! Anothe Miss-fire thread.

Sorry for making another one of these. I did search, was hoping someone could pinpoint the exact problem.

My car does drive, just, but seems to mis-fire on and off at any revs hot or cold. Cruising along at 50mph this morning i was getting constantly shunted along as the car lost power and then gained it again. Car coughs and splutters with small pops from the exhaust as its doing this.
Took it to 7k shortly after this with no problems, power was all there. 2 mins later i'm struggling to pull away from some traffic lights :(

Any ideas? i have a decat if thats make any difference.

Mine was the same, turned out to be the coil pack mate, try to see if you can do a quick run with somene elses on n if it Dow do the missfire you've found the problem

Gave the TB and air filter a clean today, seemed to do the trick. Took the car out for a good 20 min drive with no problems.

An hour later i take the car out and i'm back to square one!! Miss-firing and pretty much un-driveable.
Does anyone know what could cause the car to work fine one minute and the next be completly undriveable?

This is doing my head in, only had the car a few weeks!!:dapprove:

Cheers

sounds like a coil pack to me, usually cough, as you have a de-cat on there,
there will be one o2 sensor fault code due to that but could also be the other o2 sensor playing up as its thinking the car is running lean so injects more fuel so then it coughs/splutter/bangs to bun the excess fuel

but like people have said try a coil pack and see other than that i would say o2 sensor
