I know we had this thread the other day but it was for a 172!

what does the button on the end of the wiper stalk do in a ph2 valver??? ive pressed it and noticed that it appears to do nothing!!!

I think you will find that no one actually knows 100% what the button is for. Ive seen atleast 4 replies with different answers all claiming to be correct.

not essential that i know, but dont like buttons in my car when there is no apparent need for them!!! just irritates me thats all, cause i cant stop pressin it!

er.. from memory something to do with imobilisers, alarms, trip computers, no actual function, erm...

Never owned a valver so I cant comment on whats right or wrong.

Renault imobiliser - bit like the valet mode on a clifford alarm.

Only does anything on phase 2 onwards. Mines a phase one so dont ask me how it works!

Its def to do with the imobiliser. I think its if it needs to be re-set you need to enter a code in there.
