Help Re Glass & Insurance - Urgent

Guys,

does anyone know if you make a glass claim under your insurance if the policy cost will go up - I am fully comp with Green light and some little scrot has broken my back window - no other damage, but not sure whether to make a claim for it under the excess for £60 or to pay for it to get fixed without insurance - £175.

Does anyone have any knowledge on this - help appreciated.

Don't think it does make it increase.

Most insurers allow free REPAIRS with a small excess but won't affect your NCB. But I think a replacement will have to go through as a normal claim and you'll have to pay excess and give up your NCB unless it's protected.

I'd pay to have it repaired privately myself, not worth the hassle

It won't affect your NCB (if you have glass cover - need to check about rear screen though). It just won't make your premium any cheaper next year!
