Help! Scenic exit shifter

So just putting the scenic shifter back into place. Testing gears and it’s rubbing on the heat shield quite a bit.

Anyone else found this? What have you done to rectify?
Currently bending it where I can

Bend the heat shield, Doesn't need much.

Yeah we ended up bending and forming it a little bit, quite a faff but got there in the end. Had to make the lambda cut out slightly bigger by the time we were finished
