Help selling 172!!! How much is it worth?

Hey guys, I need some advice selling my 172. It's a 53 reg in monaco blue with 47k miles in. It's advertised in the "for sale" section. Started asking £6695 for it, but dropped it down to £6295, and will prob have to go lower. All HPI cleared, nothing dodgy about it, just need to sell it before I get my new car!!!! Is this the right sort of price to ask? Asked for some feedback in that section, but got no reply :S

Would anyone be interested? How much do you think it's really worth?

Please gimme your thoughts :approve:

Thanks, didnt look in there. Have pm'd a few people with details. Could let it go for a little cheaper than advertised if anyone's interested. Been a great car, and would rather have it go to an ethusiastic owner rather than any guy off the street.

Thanks for the feedback by the way, much appreciated.

Mines an '03 model and I wouldnt let it go for less than that Stu.

Justin-172 says £6.5k and I reckon thats about right too. Its a good hot hatch, theres loads about, if its in good nick and not been played about with, you'll get what you want,

Probs more so than if it had been 'tinkered with'.

I'd price it in amongst others of the same year, mileage etc on auto trader, reason being that most people on forums want everything for nothing. Some even want to haggle on a forum - with out even seeing the car !!

Don't go any lower than you have - if any thing put it up for a few hundred more than the £6295 if you put it on auto trader - reason being is that it's not the end of the world if you don't sell it on here. It could sell on auto trader with in a week & 9/10 for the price you want:) (the cars that don't sell are either over priced - or rubbish)

Thanks guys. This is the first car I've ever tried to sell privately, so It's a little stressful. I'm gona price it a bit lower than £6.5k due to the higher miles than normal. Hopefully this should raise some more interest.

Luckily it's a standard car that hasnt been modified, so it should be snapped up pretty soon! Here's hoping! :)
