HELP! Think CLutch Has Gone

  Renault Clio 172 Sport
So..
I was driving along giving it some, changed into 3rd but missed the shift as my foot slipped on pedal and engine just revved(cluctch wasnt engaged) so put it back in gear and started driving along again.
Noticed clutch felt a bit odd and then i got to a slight hill at a junction.
When i tried to pull away the clutch was making a grinding/squeeking noise just as the clutch was engaging/on the biting point. Started smelling clutch and there was a bit of smoke. Rolled back down the hill a bit and pulled off on the flat bit, so not as much pressure on the clutch and started making my way home fearing a problem.
In lower gears it makes this grinding/squeeking noise when it bites and not as bad in higher gears.
Managed to get home..
Pretty sure its dead though
Sort me out some help please people?!

yeah sounds like clutch, happened to me a few weeks back, paid a 100 quid for a clutch kit and it took me about 8 hours to change it. i have to say it's a b*****d to change!

It's a bit of a b**ch to do on the driveway. Probably take a good day/two days if you've not done it before.

Easy if you know how, though.

Sounds like wot happened on my mk2 ph1

i would not recommened to change it yourself on your drive if you car is a ph1

as the subframe has to come out and everything it is just a pain.

I didn't have the grinding noise btw
