help urgently needed

My mate has just brought a valver and wants to get it properly checked out by someone who knows a lot about renaults.

Can anyone reccomend a decent renault specialist that is trustworthy in London/Essex areas

where abouts are they. I thought they were performance tuning specialist could they tell me if say a head gasket was gone

should be pretty obvious if its blown a head gasket...any local garage should be able to tell you

we thought the problem was a head gasket went to a garage and they are seying something about blue smoke and costing £600. I personally couldnt see the blue smoke. Would like to speak to someone who knows a lot about 16v as this was a normal mechanic who didnt give me much confidence.

as already said torsion or BB. Ive just had stuff done at torsion and v happy wit it, John the guy who does it is very helpful wit anything you want to ask him.

if the head gaskets gone, you get white smoke out the exhaust, engine overheats very quickly and runs like a dog. take the oil filler cap off the top of the engine, have a look inside, if theres whiteish gunge there...youve blown the gasket for sure. £300 to £400 for a garage to sort it out.
