If nigh on three times more surface area is 'as efficient' then you'll be right Mcloud.
It will fit. You'll need to move the hose to the coolant tank out of the way and shift the battery back by about 1/2 an inch then give it some good love.
Different ways to achieve the same thing I suppose. I created more space by moving the battery backwards slightly and tweaking the coolant hose. No cutting was required. No you wo'nt.. do like i did and it fits properly. Just remember it also needs to be tied by a rubber band or something to keep it to the right, or it may foul a coolant hose which WILL leak.. experience i have had

And FYI, my standard 182 with just this mod made 170.9bhp last sunday
Isn't that running a little under power? I would expect it to have made closer to 180 or high 170s.
On mine I have reduced the length of the cold air feed and it sits just below the headlight near the top of the wheel arch.
172's usually make on average 168 bhp.
182 to make 170 surely has to be slightly below average power?
Either way, proof surely that the V6 airbox does basically bugger all so not worth changing?

Highest run of the day made 177, but look at the mods. RR's read differently so you can't compare unless it was done the same day. Timmay managed 161. And I've never heard of a 172 making that standard. 172Ps works out at about 168bhp, so with Renaults figures expect 160bhp
Would you not agree my 182 is pretty healthy compared to the others on the day???
Need help or advice, wat shud i do. Is there anyone in london how can be kind to come help me out,

Looking from those results its clear that bar one person the top 5 are all running the same v6, espace, ph1 airbox prob all with a itg replacement, all the lower units seem to be induction kits and panel filters,
so its loking clearer to me that a v6 style airbox with itg filter possibly with a larger CAF would work wonderes on these engines,
i ran 162.1 with a standard engine no mods, so maybe this is the route i need to look at in the future
looking good, would look even more hidden if you got some mat black paint and just sprayed the inner 6"
you notice any benefit from having it there? is it worth loosing the fog light?
