Help! Water Damaged Phone

So, was out marshalling at a rally yesterday, had full waterproofs on and had my phone in my pocket. Turns out the trousers had lost their water proof-ness and now my phone is short circuiting all over the show! Is it time to get a new phone? :dapprove:

Yep you can try and dry it out but the PCB will more than likely be rusted...phone insurance FTW..

leave it on a radiator with the battery off, and hope for the best.

You need to take it apart fully and put it in the airing cupboard for at least a week.

If you've tried turning it on when it was wet you've fucked it anyway and you now need a new phone.

Not always true.
I turned mine on after it went a whole cycle in the washing machine and i thought it'd be fucked, but after a few weeks drying out it worked fine apart from extremely short battery life.

When my phone got wet that was it, it never worked again.

stuck it in a bag of rice in the airing cupboard... apart from the watermarks in the screen, it works a treat!
