help with a stranded tube

as iv just put all my acoustics valve back on iv have noticed a convoluted peice of tubing about 5mm internal diameter thats hanging around doing nothing,i have follwed it up to the engine bay and it goes under the fuse box as hangs around by the back of the battery somewhere but both side arent connected,does anyone have any ideas what this

Is it ribbed plastic? If so, i think its the battery acid overflow pipe and on mine was clipped on to the vent in the bottom of the arch liner.

as said, it the battery overflow

and its not a tube, its a straw. Its there incase you get thirsty and need some distilled water to drink in case of break down or emergency.
