help with my new van!

i just bought a beauty of a van a renault master 2.0 petrol e-reg, the problem is it runs fine on choke but as soon as up to temp. and u get off choke it cuts out and runs rough, ne suggestions what this could be? thx chaps

what engine is it? J type?

Running solex or weber carb?

Auto or manual choke?

manual choke, not sure what carb it is im afraid, could it be the mixture thats out? it just wont idle at all without choke, it runs fine otherwise tho, would it be worth takin off the carb and cleanin it out? cheers 4ya help chris

yeah could be the mixture, or more likely crap in the carb blocking the idle air bleed (clump of oil).

Take it off and give it a good clean. Change the fuel filter as well while your at it.

If I knew what carb it was I could give you instructions on how to strip it.
