2] Engine mounts.

3] Did you fit the OE rubber spacers on the end of the springs when fitting? if not then that noise is normal - just the springs knocking on the rear beam spring plates. Also the reversing thing could either be gearbox mounts - but most likely to be rear wheel bearings.

Just some things to check.

cheers buddy thanks for that did you get the exhaust then mate? anyway the spacers i dont think were fitted so that will explain the noise!! i will get the garage to fit the spacers on again but if i cant find them how much are they to buy? how much are engine mounts and rear bearings? are they big jobs to fit?

cheers mate

I might take my rubber spacers off due to the increased height! I doubt they are very expensive ring up Renault and ask them to find the part.

Engine mounts arnt too difficult to replace - IIRC about £50 each?

The wheel bearings will need to be pressed out of your rear disks, then new ones pressed in. You can however buy rear brakedisks with the bearings already in. Do you need new disks though???? IIRC bearings around £30.

PM edde though.

Yes I had the exhaust yesterday... really well wrapped! thanks!

:)

cheers for that mate sorry for the overkill on the parcel glad it got to you in the end sorry for all the mess around i chose that tin pot company so i have take some of the blame!!! i called renault and they quoted 40 inc vat for each bearing but as you say if you get near rear discs the bearings are in??????? mmmmmmmmmmm seems as thought yozzas price is ecellent 165 for new rear discs new rear bads and new rear bearings!!!

hi there guys latest update took it to the garage not renault specialist of course and they said they will have to charge two hours labour to find out what the noise is at front end to check whether it is driveshaft or engine mount (what?????????? two f**king hours!! and they say they have but the spacers on the rear springs and dont know what the rear noises are the bearings are fine and the bushes etc etc but they managed to do all these checks without taking the rear wheels of can they actually check this? my local renault garage will tell me all faults on the car for 35 plus vat is thisa good price at least i know for sure
