Help with Renaultsport seat trim!!

The place repairing my 2002 Clio 172 on insurance have told me that Renault no longer make the Renaultsport seat trim with silver writing. Does anybody know if this is correct?

Now they are going to fit one with blue writing as they say that's all they still do. Part number I was given is 7701715740. Is this the correct number?

I'm livid as its going to look stupid if it comes back with mismatched seats. If anyone can help me it will be greatly appreciated.

only other writing was ph1 172 and that came with colours on the stripes, unless the 182 came with diff 1's?

The ph1 had colour

The ph2 172 came with grey/silver

The ph2 182 came with same grey/silver but the seats had silver backing which appears like dots.


Dunno where they are getting blue from? Williams lol ?

just refuse to accept it after all if its on insurance they are responsible for puuting the car to its original specification which was deffernt colour writing on each seat

Heard of this a couple of times, 'Da' off here got one and it was blue font so renault replaced both seats to match.

You dont have to accept the car back until you are 100% Satisfied with it. If the seat cover is wrong, the insurance will have to pay to sort it out. witht the trims at nearly a grand a piece they need to be the right 1's!

Thanks for the replies, I'd never seen or heard of a blue font either! I'm ringing my insurers now to say I won't take it back till the seats match.

Good news getting all new trims for the front seats now. Bad news is i've been without her since the 20th June now and i'm fed up with the slooowwww 1.3 Ford Ka!
