help with solenoid

iv got my solenoid all positioned in my boot, it has 2 wires running from it, then i was old that i cud use a r5 window switch which i have also got. the only thing is the switch connect originally had about 5-6 wires from it( there still there but obviously all not needed.im guessin) i need to now which wires the 2 from the solenoid have go 2 go to and the wires 2 link it up to the power and the best power source to put it to.

to work the solenoid you need to give it a feed(positive) and an earth(negative) for a breif second.you switch over the positive and negative(earth)to get the solenoid to lock and unlock.
 


Other wise it will only open or lock one of the two thats the problem i had with my 1.1 because they dont cum with central locking it wasnt set up right bit gay really and my solinoid was broken lol. anyway no more of that gettin mine booked in the body shop next month skirts spoiler side strips boot everything done then propa spray YEAY

yes you need a switch that can switch the positive and the negative around otherwise the solenoid will only work one way.you only need to supply the solenoid for a breif second as well.

spoke to essex lad and hes used a solenoid and an r5 switch its just the wiring and hes not sure wats wat until he gets his car back. it shud work its just im not an electrician
