Help with steering problem

Hi, i have just replaced my clio 1.5 with new shocks ,springs and track rod ends ,i have a set of ARB bushes but i am holding back with these as i believe they can be difficult to fit ,however the car as 115k on the clock and the shocks have been on since new so they neded it,when i am on the motorway at around 70mph the steering feels like it is wandering to the left and then the right. it is a lot better around 50mph .The car will stay in a straight line at 50mph it just seems to be i bit touchy at 70mph ,when i picked up the shocks i was asked if i wanted top mounts ,i said no as i have them ,now the top strut mounts have 115k on them and i was wondering whethere i should have changed them as well as all the other components are Ok ,i also went to have the tracking done but was told it is ok and within the parameteres, the top mounts at £60 are a bit expensive but if i had some idea what the symptoms of worn mounts were it could help to make up my mind to buy some new ones, any help would be apreciated. Thanks

They normally make a noise when they are going. Can't quite remember what noise though i think it's a knocking could be wrong.

Are there aftermarket top mounts available for the dCi's? If so could they be cheaper...?

Hi, thought i would update on my problem, the slight wander at 70mph was dodgy (winter) tyres, swapped them over and its fine now, the knocking i got was just found today as the steering started to groan and creak when i rocked it ,i was at work so i got someone to turn the steering wheel and i could see the lower ball joint moving up and down so it seems that the knocking was a lower ball joint
