Help!!!

I only had my valver for 3 weeks and it's giving me sum amount of hassle. Wheel bearing went , then the front shocker decided to start leaking. Got my local garage to do the bearing £50 so not too bad. just put a new shocker on but already theres more trouble lurking (typical french engineering). Does any one know what would cause severe shuddering through the whole car but mainly from the front end when accelerating? It only starts at about 4000rpm then fades of at about 5000. The only thing I can think of is that one of the cv joints is screwed. Any ideas guys?

If its coming through the steering wheel, may be wheel balancing out

I thought of that, just feels to strong to be wheels out of balance.

Worth getting them checked for peace of mind maybe? Sounds like the only solution really, but I aint 100% sure

is it 4k - 5k in every gear or just the 1 gear?

say it vibrated like mad between 4k and 5k in 5th but not between 4k and 5k in 4th this would point to the gear box would it not?

really dont think its the box its really smooth. Ive checked further and it's not actually between any rev range. If u drive the car normally it doesnt shake. but say ur cruising along in any gear and you floor it the front end of the car shakes - it does it in all gears but only under harsh acceleration.

dodgy mounitngs I'd go for, unless theres a stutter from the engine

Yeah, sounds a bit like the mounts could be screwed! Does the gearlever move a lot?

yeah mate when u acclerate or let off the stick jumps a bit. also when the bonnet is up u can actually shake the engine bout 1-2 cm side to side. reckon I need a new top mount?

and the dog bone, dog bones don't last on them if used hard.

I'm getting confuse why cant renault's be easier to work on call it vauxhall nostalga.
from what I can see a clio 16v has 3 engine mounts but sum posts make ou like theres four. The ones I can find.....

- top mount next to power steerind reservoir
- the mount underneath the battery
- the dog bone mount which connects to the metal bracket on the back of the gearbox

Is this correct or am i missing something?

no theres 3 and you named each of them.

tell yuo what since you liie vx so much, you can remove the oil pressure relief valve and clean it up on an s plate veccy for me and I will change the 3 of your clios mounts.

surely if the driveshaft was bent u would feel it wherever u used the acclerator, it only happens when u give it full throttle and it doesnt do it all the time, comes and goes.
reckon it the inner cv joint or one of the mounts. Just really annoying because if i change the dogbone it will end up bein the cv joint or the driveshaft!

just wonder mate wot you mean by "box are driveshaft bent"?
