Has anyone added an amp to there MK1 172, if so how did you get the power cable from the battery into the car??!

I have a Sony sub/amp combined in the boot of mine - if you look in the passenger foot well kind of level with the glove box, not on the floor, pull the carpet away there and there is a hole with a rubber grommet with a cable going through it. Put wire through that same hole. Might need to enlarge the hole maybe and put larger grommet.

I think i can see the one you mean, what a b*tch!!! Did you have to take the windscreen wiper off to get to the cable as it came through, cause i cannot see where it come out!!

No, didnt have to remove windscreen wiper - it was very difficult to see, poke it through, wiggle it about and look with a torch.

remove the power steering bottle and pull the bulk head lining back and you can get your hand down the back while someone else wiggles it....you will loose skin, guaranteed.
