  Broken Diesel Megane :(
right,

basically i bought some caliper paint that is an extremely close match to inferno and placed it in the boot of my car (in what was a fairly sealed tin).

now after 10 - 15 mins of hooning it around a back road the tin decided to open.

I NOW HAVE AN ORANGE BOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

it aint too bad, (there aint a puddle of paint) just splashes here and there.

suggestions for best thing to take out with. thinners?

thanks

Nightmare - Has it dried?

Going to be a nightmare tbh, I spent 2 hours cleaning litres of wood stain from a neighbours car which luckily was waterbased, yours maybe a little more tricky.

White Spirit/thinners will be you only hope, you will have to try it and see.

yeah it has dried now, all over my football boots too!!!!!!!

thought it was gonna be a case of thinners etc. will just have to wash it then try that over it and see how it goes.

Oops! That don't sound too good! If it's the Hammerite paint then I don't think you have much luck with just white spirit, I painted my calipers with it at the weekend, and white spirit wont get the paint off the brushes.

no it was special ordered paint to match inferno. was done by spray painter next door to my work so will ask him if there is an andidote to taking it off lol

good luck mate must be annoying. Think you might be screwed though, only solution would be a remove some of the top layer of the fabric lining in the boot (works a lot better than it sounds - especially for things like chewing gum on carpets).

Nightmare man....

Hope to f**k you manage to get it out.

Anyway hows the Meg compared to clio ? ?

Or is there no comparison really ?

brand86 - think i know what you mean will give anything/everything a bash this weekend.

D1CKY - its ahrd to tell really. the meg is a step up in comfort and dare i say it, build quality.

and it is probably just as fast, if not, once rolling a bit faster. but i have lost all of the fun factor, and thats what i loved bout the clio. loved throwing it into corners with loads of confidence. meg feels like it will throw itself into a tree mid bend.

but all will be sorted (i hope) with set of coilovers.

anyway, how you liking the 172? prefer it to the polo?

that sort of paint dont even shift with thiners but on the up hand i know a way you can do it, and here is a solution for you dye it ;) call auto glym and find out who your local rep is meet up with him and he will sell carpet dye remove the boot lineing and spray with the asol dye it works a treat,

if you cant get hold of it pm me and i will send you some at cost:)

The clios not bad a bit quicker than Polo, but tried it flat out the other day and must admit the Polo got flat oot easier (120 in 4th)...

Feels like its takin forever after 4th gear :S

Anyway as for everything else it ok apart from a fooking rattle in my drivers door..

What coilovers ya after ?

And have you had a go at your boot again ?

  VRS
whereabouts is the paint fella? on the back of the seats. the sides of the boot or the boot floor?

if its the boot floor you could always pull it out and get some more carpet?
