In honesty I don't like the roof chop, the interior I think works well with the exterior but I'd have been inclined to just replace the whole roof, glass and pillars with ones from a straight car.
Larger higher res versions of the pics for the likes of Winston who might want some new wallpaper. You'll need to copy the link location and paste into the browser as CS automatically resizes them to small.
hmm, I like some aspects of it . All seems a bit poserish to me though? But that's just me, I wouldn't modify a car unless there was a practical reason for it...
If you've just come to the thread now it's worth reading the opening post and through the thread. Explains what happened with the car and how it's ended up in its current state.
As for the golf I'm guessing it's a Euro Scene thing, it's at the H20i event in the US so I'm guessing the owner had some UK plates made in the same way people here seem to go for german or french plates.
I noticed this the other day and read 'leading the scence', or 'moving the scene on' - something like that. Putting aside my own personal dislike for the car since the chop, people have been chopping roofs for decades. Moving the scene on it is not.
The dedication to the car is awesome, I dont think I know a single person who would stick with a car after a smack and a bent frame! The car looked pretty good right up to the roof chop, its a mod that should be left to rat rods imo.
