hey guys im new 2 the clio world, but im hopin 2 get 2 know a folks from here an maybe geta few tips on moddin this car.
i have 1 question already, i have 16'' alloys, can i lower my car 60mm without any problems?

yes, no problems, I lowered my car 60mm on 17"s with no problems.

I was advised to replace the shocks when I switched to 60mm springs, but I never did. I know of a few others who have done the same but if you can spare the money I'd get new shocks as well.

I would go for coileys over a suspension kit. For 100-150 quid more you may as well go for the adjustability and improvement in handling.

As for 60mm on 17s it is all about the offset of the wheels. Get the right offset and you will have no problems.

This was lowererd 40mm on apex springs with spax shocks, no problems at all with 16"s although I did have to get stronger anti roll bar links. The ride was good:

i like ur old car dave, looks very like mine now, i like the spot lights, makes the front end look fresh, and 40mm seems about right, i was thinkin of the link bars myself, as i know they improve handling, any guys any suggestions on a nice back-box? oh an b4 i forget, im plannin on fittin sideskirts but im not sure which ones 2 go for as it being a 5dr, i cnt go for the skirts that go up the side of the car, any help wud be greatful, cheers
