However how bigs your wallet- firstly whatever one you buy I would have a GOOD £500 spare for emergencies as part cost an arm & a leg-
- FSH is essential as is low owners-
- Cambelt & water pump should have been changed- ideally by main dealer or qualified specialist ( make sure you have an invoice)
-look for the usual accident damage- check HPI
- steering wheel perishes-
- check the air con- dont take its out of gas as a cheap regas- the pipes to the pump are under the car & often get hit- looking around £200 there at least-
- check under the bonnet & under the tray - for damage- make sure all the bolts are there as they are £30 a bolt-
- tyres... you dont want budgets on the rear--
- alloys- the finish from the factory is poor- will have needed refurb-
- check for both arch lines- as these are a good sign of damage if they are missing-
- If you join Cliov6.net- you can check the plaque number
- Dont buy from ron hodgson ( mega overpriced) or West sussex car specialists- as they lied about an accident hit vee-
- Clutch falls to bits- look for one thats been replaced when the owner did the belts otherwise its another 1k at least down the swannie-
- Check the front disks as they are bloody expensive- 330mm & only from renault ( or ktec do a modified set)- looking at £500 for the disks alone- so more like £700 with pads fitted
Other than that there good cars-
Oh & buy a PH2- Obviously LY is the most sought after colour- but most of the range can look great-
If you do buy one take it to one of 2 places for work-
Yeah these are hot off the press. Forum member on v6clio.net sent them his discs. They aren't available on the APEC website, only through selected suppliers.
