hi :) getting a 2.0 clio in october

hey, I'm thinking of getting the full fat 182 clio in october as i didn't want to get the cup because it didn't seem as practical for everyday use. whats everybody else's opinions, i was comparing it to the 172 as well. Any other models i could consider without spending much more money or losing out on practicality?

Practical in what sense? Nothing changes from a 'full fat' to a Cup in anyway that you would call impractical?

In weight sense, 20kg's or so.

You dont get xenon's or cilmate control (aircon instead) You get utterly horrendous charcoal cloth seats or if they were specified, Recaro Trendlines, they only come in Inferno Orange or Racing blue.

Aesthetically, nothing changes. You will not lose out on any form of space or passenger accomodation. In my opinion its a waste of time as a 182 with Cup Packs still comes with xenons and alacantra and leather seats (again Recaro's if spec'd) and the benefit of a stiffer chassis/suspension.

Performance makes absolutley no difference with only a 20kg's loss of weight in the Cup, that could be the difference of a full tank of fuel and a half tank of fuel.

It ofcourse is entirley you're decision, mind! Hope this helps...

If you mean in terms of having a few extra comforts such as climate control, half pleather interior and the brighter xenon bulbs then I'd say it's worth going for the full fat

October is a long way off! Is this going to be your first car or something? If so, I would recommend a non-sport model of the clio as your first car. Also if your looking for practical, get something more like the 5-door Clio 100 TCE.

Hi and welcome

As said, think of the cup as the 'poverty spec' clio in the sense that they come with no options/toys/comforts

I'd recommend getting a 'full fat' 182; the normal 182 with the cup packs so it benefits from all of the toys and the stiffer chassis/spoiler and splitter.

With full fats you have more colour choices too... Ly being the best ;)

yea i was thinking of getting the 182 then putting some cup mods on, and no it isnt my 1st car. in october i will have 2 years on my lisense and 2 years ncb so im changing from my shitty 1.1 106

a 'Full Fat' 182 has cup packs...

182 Cup - Basic spec 182 with cup packs as standard
182 - Higher spec interior with softer suspension and smaller spoiler as standard
182 Full Fat - The higher spec interior with the 'cup packs' suspension and spoilers specified as an optional extra
