Hello mate

Nice to see another valver owner on here! sounds like a great deal mate!

What colour?

Tom

Hi Tom, got it cheap cos one of the arches and passenger lock is fecked...quoted 200 quid to sort it so still a bargain

Its metallic blue...but its not the williams blue, u tell me ??? jolly nice colour

Think thats Monaco blue mate

Same as mine

Flips to a purpley colour in the light

it will be monaco blue on an n reg, paint code 432 (if its an original renualt colour & not been respayed) it is a williams colour as well btw.

welcome mate, its nice to see another fellow valver owner on here !
you got any pics of it mate?

  ex Clio 172 owner :(

Sounds like a bargain for a N reg. They tend to go for almost double that.

Welcome mate.

Get some pics up!

it was indeed the one on ebay....i got in touch straight away and snapped it up ! I lived local so pretty lucky

Havent any pics as yet, looks standard apart from powerflow exhaust system with carbon t-pipe, K&N air filter. arent sure weather its been lowered or not, 16vs are pretty low to start though aint they ?

standar 137 brake...u reckon with the exhaust and air filter it will be nearer 145 brake ? just wondering

thanks

Not sure if youll see 145 with those mods but yeah the 16v sits relatively low on the wheels as standard. Perfect height in my opinion. Where from? and enjoy.

to be honest i very much doubt you will get 145 bhp from an exhaust & filter mate, also what filter is it ?
as normal k&ns sap power & do not add it !!

Im from east yorks....what about u ?

It is a standard K&N i think, which one would u recommend ? sounds good though

how does it sap power ?

it saps it, as the cold air doesnt get into the engine, the k&n throws in warm air, it will sound nice, but be slower than the standard air box.
(some one more technical will be able to expalin it to you, but thats the general idea)

Hi and welcome to the club it sounds like youve got yourself a nice car there mate. Ive had my valver for almost 3 weeks now:D and ive found this place to be very helpfull and informative.

Welcome :D

If its a Phase2 16V from 1996 then itll be Monaco Blue, which was also found on the Willy 3.

Sounds like youve got a very well priced car, but beware that rear arch. Its very cheap to cut out the rust and paint it up again, but it WILL come back unless you have a good job done. In fact, the best way to stop the rot it is to weld an entire new arch panel on! Time was when you could get 16V/Willy arches in three parts, but they now only come as one. Fortunately, the "normal" Mk1 Clio arches still come in three parts and are very cheap - the lower part will still fit in with a 16V/Willy upper.

I had a few spots of the dreaded arch rust on Willy No.123. I had a job done for £150 and though it was reasonable...until 3 weeks later some spots came back!

As for the engine, its not unknown for some F7P (16V) and F7R (Williams) engines to make more than the standard outputs with no mods. Chips, filters and exhausts make little difference in my opinion (having had all on) - but you CANNOT beat the sound of a Valver with an induction kit...even if it does rob you of power!
