HID sidelights

  ST
I wouldn't touch em mate....not worth cutting your hands over for 99p!!

They look like cheap rubbish!!

You want some philips blue vision sidelights....they give quite a nice white look against the xenon...

Dink what sidelights do you run?

A) WTF differnce would HID sidelights make, HID is a high intensity beam, sidelights don't beam, they are position indicators, to show your presence on teh road to others around you

B) you aren't gona get HID lights as just bulbs, you need amplifier packs etc, and certainly won't get tehm for 99p

True they add absolutly no lighting advantage what so ever when lighting the road infront of you, but from purely a cosmetic point of view and especially for those of us with Xenons, it makes the light cluster look alot better / fresher when the Xenons are on instead of having a dull yellow bulb next to the Xenon.

where did you get them? and how much?

also is it a hard job too do?

never needed to change a bulb on my clio yet!

Because they look sh*t when the xenons are on as well, you got a linky for them Chris?

This was the pack I got, did the main beams at the same time: http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/product.asp?numRecordPosition=6&P_ID=167&strPageHistory=&strKeywords=&SearchFor=&PT_ID=92

Plus FYI:

Non-Xenon Cars
Indicators: PY21w
Sidelight: w5w
Dipped Beam: H7
Main Beam: H1

Xenon Cars
Indicators: PY21w
Sidelight: w5w
Dipped Beam: D2S (Xenon bulb)
Main Beam: H7

Its not hard to do, its just very tight with the space available to work in, especially the drivers side with the aircon pipes in the way. I found it easier to take the main beam bulb out first to gain better access to the side light.

Can be a c*nt of a job as there is p1ss all space under the bonnet of the clio...get ready for some cuts and scrapes!!
