Hiding Satnav

Hi,

First of all I'm new around here. HELLO

Now we have that over with I will begin.

I have a 2002 clio (mk2 ph2 I believe) and have my tom tom one mounted in the middle of the windscreen, i was planning to drill a hole in the tray thing on the top of the dash and running the cable behind the dash right down to the back of the cigarette lighter where I can pick up a live.
I've never removed the dash but am willing to try but I would like to ask would it be possible to run the wire all the way down from the top of the dash past the radio and the heater controls.

u can just pull the rubber mat up on the tray thing on top of dash, and put a hole under the mat

The whole dash top comes of so you may not need to dril any holes. Worth doing a search as there is a thread on here of how to remove it.

Removal of dash is easy.

Personally I havent hardwired my SatNav as I would be tempted to leave it in the car and have it stolen.

Thats what I was planning to do but without removing the dash how do I know what is under it, I might drill something that is not designed to be drilled!

Does the display unit ie the clock and temp centre console not come out without removing the whole dash?
