High level input amp wiring

  RenaultSport Clio 172 Mk2

Okay, Ive had my amp for a couple of months now and really need to get it fitted instead of keep putting it off!

Im going to leave the original HU in as I want the steering controls and the multi-changer as it is. The amp is a http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4140&cadid=bc0f27b76ec59220bc23e15644dae9c3JBL-GTO-75.4 4-channel amp. I also have http://thebassbin.co.uk/shop/product/products_id/1285.htmlInfinity Kappa50.5CS components in the front (crossovers behind the door cards) and standard speakers in the back.

Im only going to amp up the fronts and leave the rears as standard for some fill. Maybe put a sub in at a later date using the 2 spare channels.

Which is easier to wire/ has better SQ? Through the high-level inputs on the amp or using a RCA convertor? I really dont want to be running speaker wire through the doors if possible. Is this even avoidable?

If I went the high level input route, does that mean Id have to extend the original speaker wires to the amp and then run new wires from the amp and through the doors to the speakers?

All help appreciated.

yeah you would need to run wires from the speaker output from the hu to the amp then back from the amp to the speakers.

i havent changed the cable going to my door speakers but it depends on the amount of power you are putting into them.

it might be slightly easier to use one of http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ModuleNo=33176&doy=26m6these behind the hu and run a set of rcas to the amp, but then you still need the speaker wires from the amp to speakers

be careful of the amp blowing the speakers as its 100w rms per channel! start it off at minimum gain!

Yeah gain will be set as low as possible to start with!

Are there connectors available to connect existing door wiring to new speaker wire as mentioned above? Not really up with wiring.
