Okay, Ive had my amp for a couple of months now and really need to get it fitted instead of keep putting it off!
Im going to leave the original HU in as I want the steering controls and the multi-changer as it is. The amp is a http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4140&cadid=bc0f27b76ec59220bc23e15644dae9c3JBL-GTO-75.4 4-channel amp. I also have http://thebassbin.co.uk/shop/product/products_id/1285.htmlInfinity Kappa50.5CS components in the front (crossovers behind the door cards) and standard speakers in the back.
Im only going to amp up the fronts and leave the rears as standard for some fill. Maybe put a sub in at a later date using the 2 spare channels.
Which is easier to wire/ has better SQ? Through the high-level inputs on the amp or using a RCA convertor? I really dont want to be running speaker wire through the doors if possible. Is this even avoidable?
If I went the high level input route, does that mean Id have to extend the original speaker wires to the amp and then run new wires from the amp and through the doors to the speakers?
All help appreciated.
