So is this just a thread to see if anyone else is as stupid as you?
But wont you want to change the belts before it goes is?Second hand engine is cheaper than a belt change.
Jus' sayin'.
just wondered is anyone running about in there sport with a good amount of miles on without having the belts done yet. now i know its one of them things it could go or it could last you just dont know. im on 66666 miles now no belt change please tell curious cheers.
People think if you go a day over 5years, or a mile over 72k the belt will snap. Do it when youre ready imo. they quote them figures to cover there ass, they give 3 years warranty but doesnt mean that once its 3 years old it will constantly go wrong.

I bought my 182 on Sunday with 54k no belt change :/ Not driving it till Tuesday and that's to the Renault garage to get both belts and a service done. Its killing me, just want to drive it instead of my paxo not worth it though.
mines on 87k and no proof of it being done :/
£650 quid to service £2500 car? No thanks. I'll keep driving mine, if it snaps....it snaps, I'll buy another car and drive that until goes bang. Its only a Clio!
Surely buying another car is more expensive than getting the belts changed I would have thought.

maintaining them is the cheap part, insure the fcukers on the other hand is a different story£500 isn't alot of money. Seems to be alot of people on here who buy them and then can't afford to maintain them.
