High oil temperature

Hi!
I install a oil temp. gauge and a normal conditions the temp. is 120º and fast road at 150º or more.... Install in a sandwich with the oil filter.
is normal the temp??

Very high. I would say its reading 25deg too high. What gauge have you used.

In my opinion you want the oil between 100-130 stable on track at flat chat. Anything prolonged over this and I think you should try to find a way of dropping it a touch. Oil thins out at high temperatures and this reduces oil pressure. The last thing you want on these engines is a drop in oil pressure.
