High power focus in testing

Sounds quite good, just hope they don't do all the main set up on the Ring and think it'll work anywhere.

Thats what ive been waiting for. They best make it look somethin special like the RS cosworth etc. But maybe leave the whale tail spoiler out. I think the ST was too plain as with most 'GTI' cars lately? We want wide arches, spoilers, different bumpers compared with the LX models! We want it to stand out. Well i do but i want it standard i aint no modder?

its cool how over the decades the bar gets raised - how many years do you think it will be before all top of the range hatches will have around the 300bhp mark as standard

Maybe never.Performance figures have'nt moved on imho since the 3-door cossie days.Saying that ,the way there being beefed up at the moment with airbags for your c**k in the seats ,there going to need 300bhp to keep up

Looks like they've got 5 bags of sand in the boot, the rear suspension is very low. Unless ford are bringing out a focus with a boot full of ICE.

But over the years the emissions laws are getting tighter and tighter. this will limit the power of the motors, plus as you say the cars are getting heavier with all the safety devices.

^^^^^^And then audi start testing a new RS6 with a 5 litre v10 turbo engine.....Technology has moved on and with that we are back to performance again. Its just that some manafacturers are not following suite
