Highest mileage on a Renault sport model only!

Hi,
Just inquisitive to see who is running a high miler renault sport, be it a 172 cup,182,197, v6 etc etc.

Let me know your miles and if you've had any major probs with your car.

Russ_16v is on quite high miles, as is Fletcher, Ph1 172 and ph2 respectively.

Nby who bought the Trophy is circa 140K as well.

I am travelling to see a ph1 with 140k on it this week, but the owner has said he's not had any problems (but then he would say that) but its got full history etc so cant be bad...

If it has a good and full service histor. With the belts done at least twice by those miles then there is no reason it wouldn't go onto last a good time. By that time I'd expect clutch and gearbox to be something to look carefully at too. If yo dive it and it feels well put together and solid then there's no reason not to go for it!

As long as you carry out all the usual checks then id be happy buying ne on that mileage, mines just coming up on 134k and has been tracked on and off the last 35k and still runs and drives lovely

The chap with the trophy is 168k last time i saw and he says it also runs nice
