Hillpower Induction Kit

  inferno rs 182
need your views on this you guys, especially the folk that have them.

i hear nick's a good guy so understand the product to be good quality but i want top know if its worth while forking out the money for one (£290 as is gettin colour coded) bearing in mind an open filters out the question (due to heat etc), vipers suck ass and the maxogens cost nearly £400.
(i guess im nearly answering my own question lol.)

do they do their job well?
is there a nice induction rasp off them?
will i notice a difference in performance?
do they come with a bell mouth for the bumper(like the viper)?

thanks in advance

I had one on mine for a short while. Sounded awesome, really good induction sound. Moved around quite a lot in the engine bay though as it only comes with one bolt to secure it. Came with two bendy inlet pipes, no bell mouth thing. Seemed to give a small gain higher up the revs, but you will prob need a remap to see any proper gains. I only paid £100 second hand though not sure if its worth £290!!

its only 248 its 40 sheets to colour code it. think cliosport might get i discount tho need to look in to it.
dnt like the idea of it rattling about

Ye right, I was lucky mine being a phase 1, it has a rubber belt that you use with the standard airbox so wrapped that around it to hold it in place.

we do get a discount at hillpower ...........i'd recommend spending it on other things , like possibly having the inlets done you'll get more of power increase for the money spent of an induction kit , but thats my opinion ....though i'm running a viper with caf ...

inlets are on the list mate. what is the discount?

not sure to be honest as it's about 5% ....ring nick and he'll tell you . spoke to him about the inlets and it's a definite worth while mod ....well they all are really

ive got one been ok so far. maybe a bit pricey for what it actually is. think i'll probably end up swapping mine because i want a itg maxogen kit.

imo £248 is expensive, you get the inlet pipe thats £52 by itself, a couple of small feed pipes and a cone filter thats prob arround £75 worth so your paying £100 for the heatshield

I'd spend the £250 on matched inlets + ITG panel filter

  182 and 5 GTT
As above i would get inlets and ITG panel filter. Cant see the hillpower being any different to a viper really and ive had a viper and it was crap.

ive got one - mine is fixed solid - no movement at all so I assume as you bought yours second hand the seller didnt give you the second bracket. It is expensive but seems to work - I have a sports cat, exhaust and this filter and get 186.5bhp on a 172. Sounds good too

i have a full de cat system too so hope fully see sum gains. inlets and a remap are on the list.
thanks for all the input
