Ha. Well i dont work there anymore. Been transferred to another tunnel in surrey.

It should be open very soon if i can remember. June the 6th seems to ring a bell but i dont know for sure. I did drive through it todays and all the Veri-guard has gone so theyll just remove the cones one night and that will be it.

Ill try and find out if you wish to know.

Better still Sam, see if you can find out if there will be any camera's in the tunnel.. Just incase someone breaks down.. You know the type.

The tunnel has just opened today to the public.

It will be in contra-flow for the first 3 days with a 40 MPH speed limit and then the north bound bore will open and it will go to 70 MPH.

There are 217 cameras in the tunnel, and there are also ANPR and avarage speed cameras working inside and outside the tunnel.

Its not best to go flying through this tunnel, but hey, it should speed your times up getting home.

I managed to hit it last night. Done a couple of passes. It's awesome. Was a bit disappointed about the cameras but was still good fun.

Just waiting for some sort of fine to come through the post now lol.

I was thinking of organising a Hindhead Tunnel run meet but if there are cameras I don't think I'll bother.

Average speed cameras, national speed limit.

Keep it in a nice low gear and don't break the limits do it at night and you can go quiet slow then open it up. Can't be any worse than the London tunnel run we done a few months back!
