How bad are lime trees for paintwork?

  Clio 182
Apart from the obvious that as soon as I've washed it, it gets covered - but are they really damaging??

The damage will occur if it gets backed on and etches into the paint by the bright/hot sun. As long as the car has a layer of sealant or wax on it should help to stop the above occuring.

Tree sap is devil juice. Within minutes it has bonded to your paint. Within hours, it has killed everyone you have ever cared about...

when was the last time you waxed?

Since last summer, the car didn't get washed for about 6 months after I moved... and it's only had a quick coat of NXT once this year, I've been busy

I did buy a clay bar though which is sat ready in the cupboard!
