How best to lower my 172

  Passat
Its a standard 172 and I've always thought they sit a little high. Whats the best way to drop them a tad? Id rather not stiffen the ride too much though I do accept this may be a consequence.

I know knack all about suspensions so please speak slowly.

Thanks. Is there anything else I need or do these fit straight on the standard setup? A mechanic will be doing the work, not myself, I should add.

I'd go for new Renault shocks and suspension top mounts while your there.

This lot will ensure a bit of tightness.
But if you just want springs for now that will be fine. If you feel the car is a bit sloppy then I would start looking a freshening it up a bit
