How can i remove this? (or are they stone chips?)

Hi guys,

These have been bugging me as long as ive had the car. Not sure if theyre stone chips or just baked on crap. They are in front of the rear wheel.

Any suggestions?

I have a few minor ones there too, personally I wouldn't bother unless they are noticable from afar as you will only get more anyways.

i think you can buy a clear plastic sticker from renault to fit there that protects the paint but you woul have to get it painted first tho

Its happened to all 3 of my clios eventually, the 172 was resprayed before I bought it but 6 months later they were back with vigour. The megane has stonechip protectors on it and they seem to be doing an admiral job of stopping it so if you want rid of it respray and get some on.

what exactly are thes stone chip protectors? do you have any pictures of them? sounds like a fine idea tbh.

It's like a plastic film, but doesn't look that great in my eyes and the amount it costs probably cheaper just to get it resprayed every few years if it bothers you that much. Personally on a Clio I wouldn't bother though.

I'd disagree, as long as their put on right with no bubbles then they're hardly noticable imo. At least mine are.

Lots depends on the car colour as to how much they show up. I have yet to see any paint protection film that does not stand out.

i have them on each rear arch they dont come off atall and they got pc'd

As said they are stone chips, no amount of Scratch X or Polishing will remove them.

Looking at his pictures it is beside the wheel I had the same but where very light then I used Scratch X and it actually took most of it away I was surprised

I find it works better on that than actual scratches
