How do i change my headlight bulbs??

mk2 phase 1 with the dual headlight thingys.. the bulb is a hb3...

i can't disconnect the bulb... there are like 2 jaws from the connector attatched to the car surrounding a little bit of plastic on the bulb.. and i cant seem to loosen the jaws in any way.

i dont want to pull them or anything incase they snap.. any ideas how i get them loose?

i think they just unclip, strange never heard of anyone not being able to release them

1. Unclip connector
2. Twist bulb
Steps 1 and 2 can be reversed if you wish. Maybe you are trying to turn the wrong bit. Just turn the black bit, the clear bit will not turn!

the headlight bulbs have the plastic connector fitted to them already they just unclip from the connector after you have twisted the bulb out from the light

got them open in the end.. the plastic clippy things were stuck.. had to get a screwdriver and prise them loose.
