how do i fit lowering springs on my..

i have some apex 40mm springs for my 182, how do i fit them anyone got a guide or know how??

FRONT:

Remove strut (3 bolts - poss more on a mk2)

Compress spring using spring compressors

Undo top mount and remove old spring

Compress new spring, put into place on strut

Put top mount back on

Undo spring compressors

Refit Strut

REAR:

Not to sure as ive got a torsion bar... however i think you just need to undo the rear shocks and remove the spring? But dont quote me on that as i dont own a mk2 and have never seen the springs on them.

Halfords sell them under £20 from memoery I think it was £15 or so.

Heres an old thread about fitting springs. When you do the backs, its easier to take the wheels off and have another person to help hold the rear axle, although it can be done with the wheels on.

You dont need spring compressors. Ive done it about 4 times and you dont need them. If you search posts by fred, he explains exactly how to do it.

ive just had a look at the rear springs therees no bolt at the top or bottom???? its a 182 btw

There is a bolt either side which goes through the damper into the axle.
