How do I know if my car has the "Cup" pack

  Nissan 350Z
OK, I got a second hand 182, with 5k miles on the clock. I asked the dealer if it had the cup pack, but they said they simply did not know.

I put the pictures on a forum, and from what I gather, some people commented and said "at least you have the cup pack"... now i know for a fact it aint got the spoiler pack, but how would someone know just by looking at pictures whether it had the suspension or not?

Granted one of the pics was an engine shot, but still, thats not likely to reveal anything is it?

I'm not actually bothered whether or not it does have it.... you dont miss what you dont have and all that, and the thing seems to handle pretty well to me anyway - i've never driven a cup to compare, but i do know its very firmly sprung compared to my previous cars, a Fabia vRS and a Golf Mk2 GTI, but thats not really surprising.

So how can i tell?

cup pack suspension = anthracite (dark grey like) wheels instead of silver & sits bout 3mm lower
cup spoiler = slightly larger spoiler and front splitter

urr the only way i can tell is by the colour of the alloys and the added spoiler, but i think the cup suspension (inc darkish wheels) is a seperate option form the cup spoiler pack! so answer is have you got darkish wheels? meaning cup suspension pack!

I was told if you look on the suspension springs they will be a coloured mark. Depending on the colour determines if its cup suspension or not. Renault used the colour so the operatives on the line could easily pick the different suspension options when the cars where being built on the line.

Well the wheels look pretty silver to me....

@ Mr Spasm... i wasnt too bothered either way to be honest, just a couple of comments sparked my curiosity. Whatever the case, the car seems to handle well to me, and thats good enough for me :)

Cool, well it certainly appears to be the standard car - probably no bad thing as this car is used as much for business as it is pleasure, and to me the handling is already pretty smart - certainly better than my previous cars, and its comfortable, refined and luxurious when i need it to be.

I love it :)
