how do i know if my cars an import for sure?

i hav a moanco blue 172, 02 plate. how do i know if its an imports? something to do with etched windows, locking wheels nuts and alarm?

mine has full uk spec, but whenever i ring renault they say they cant find it in thier system so it must be an import.

if there is a sticker on the back of your service book with the radio code, vin number etc then its probably on import

The special notes section on the front of the V5 will tell you if it is an import, also details on the V5 such as engine number may be blank.

hi, thnx for reply. i checked v5 and the special notes doesn't say anything bout bein an import. it says registration non transferable, but im sure it was on a private plate wen 1st registered. as for the engine number it says not known. and there's a sticker on the back of the service book with the chassis number on, so all this makes me sure its an import. Along with no crappy alarm (as commented in many posts), red led for alarm, locking wheel nuts or etched glass lol. cheers for the help
