Have a cup spoiler to fit and need to remove my existing spoiler...

How do I remove and refit etc.

Thanks.

its only 6 screws/bolts iirc. I've never actually removed one, only fitted one and its a piece of cake mate.

As the guys said above its easy (well kinda!)

Open boot. You should see 6 torqx screws holding the spoiler in place. Undo them. Then pop the old spoiler off.. remove the connector for the brake light, and the pipe for the washer jet.

The next thing you need to do is put the Cup one back on. But be carefull... the connectors for the brake light are different... I cut mine and soldered them together and taped them up. Also the pipe for the washer will be too short and you may need to extend it. I just used a small pipe connector and extended mine ever so slightly.

Nice one. I have an extra bit of hose for the washer jet but will have to take a look at the spoiler plug.... Although I do have the original plug from the 182 with two wires cut which should make fitting easier by the sounds of it as I will at least have some more room to play with....

Make sure that when you refit it, the hosing for the washer jet is in the groove of the bootlid/window as if creased it won't work.

Nice one chaps.

Fitted already!!!

Took me half an hour between getting it on and off and cutting the wires etc.

No moaning as this morning it was black and gold!!!!

So sprayed etc by me with cans from Halfords.

Yeah - unfortunatley I fucked it up when putting on my last coat of lacquer and it led to a bit of a blemish, as such I thought f**k it I will whack it on. Been drying for a few hour's before putting it on. Only cost me £10 to spray etc so I am not too bothered.

was your washer hose long enough? on my 1.2 it was well short :dapprove:

Yeah it was long enough, but only just! The spoiler did come with the wash jet ball and a bit of hosing on the end... thought that's what they were all like though
