Now what i need to know is how do i remove the front from the back?

Thanks Vinny

insulation tape on the back of a fork then prise them off with that

with them off it will just un-clip(you can see one in the bottom middle in the pic)

yep 2 spoons and lever them off , they are kinda tightly fitted, also if yer replacing the background sheet make sure the side ikons all match up

if i prise them off will the dials still be accurate, ie will it go back on where they are supposed to be

dont think there is a orange filter john, what colour shall i change them too and how small of a soldering iron do i need lol its tiny!!!!!!!!!

horrible thing trying to lever your needles out especialy when they make a cracking noise :S

by changing the surface mount leds somet like 4 on each of the revs and speedo , and 1 each on temp and fuel gauge

I believe the needles act like a light pipe. If you change the leds, the needles will be the same colour. You could help this look further by painting the top of the needles. There was a recent post showing the 10 LEDs that you need to change. Two on the rev and speed dial, one each on the temp and petrol and four on the mileometer. It's well fiddly and you have to have the led the right way round. the other post has a how to on it. Been in the last week.
I have a mate who'll do it, for a price if you're not confident doing it.

cheers mate, think i'l give it a bash, these are just a practice set of dials for me to experiment on. but if all goes wrong i might take you up on that offer lol

what colours are u hoping for and where, you have the colors leds for the speedo and revs, then u have the light colout of the needle , u can also paint the back of the needle so it shows better when the lights arnt on through the day,

yeah the ones you need to change are the 4 by the speedo and rev motor pins the 1 buy each of the fuel and termp motor pins and the six on the display

you could have white leds and paint the needles red

you can get the paint off the needles with some very very fine wet and dry (2400 grit)
