how do i transfer files from pc to ps3 ???

as the title says really, my ps3 is connected to my laptop via ethernet but how do i/can i transfer files between the 2 ?

I use something called eyeconnect

But it's not playing my AVI's or Xvid's at the moment unfortunately.
